“One world was not enough for two
Like me and you.”
– Oscar Wilde
These two totally caught me off guard. Obviously I was expecting a lovely wedding in the Franschhoek Valley (sorry for being blasé lol), but realizing that the beautiful photobomber, Caroline, is my actual freaking spirit animal was not as expected (but welcomed), haha. We met for their engagement shoot before, sent each other Egyptian scroll-length emails, and chatted about our cats more than normal cat-moms do, but at their wedding, it just reached a different level. It just made me so. freaking. happy!
Anyway, back to Caroline and Wesley, the epic guy she married: They are quirky af, free-spirited, way too much fun and so perfect for each other. What a blessing it was to capture their love story.
So, everything was all fine and well, until she pulled out her wedding dress. I literally could not stop swooning over it – soft tulle, golden layers of beads, perfectly fitted – one of the most beautiful gowns I’ve ever seen. Janita Toerien, you never disappoint!
It all was just so harmonious: the boys were swimming, ladies having all the champagne, they got married on the lawn in front of Rickety Bridge‘s main house, overlooking the entire Franschhoek Valley. They had a beer/smoke break, stared at cows (ILOVECOWS), had some really good food, and kind of danced the night away under loads of fairy lights. Not bad.
Enjoy it, Friends! We sure did.
